Sustainability activities and measures
With the Luftburg's own photovoltaic system, the beer is tapped in a CO2-neutral manner using the in-house electricity.
For every 5* rating, Luftburg plants a tree! The plantings are implemented by the Austrian reforestation project "Wald4Leben". In 2022, 667 trees could already be planted.
"Sustainability and climate protection are issues that are very close to our hearts. We are convinced that every small step counts and are pleased that we, as the largest organic restaurant in the world, can make a contribution. Through our purchase guarantees, for example, we secure jobs and volume in organic agriculture, which in turn makes organic accessible to a wider audience.
There is no planet "B" and we are working every day to leave a livable planet for future generations. And because we are far from finished, we are always working on further measures to move sustainably into the future," says Paul Kolarik.
All activities and measures such as "Green Webhosting", the info on the bee colonies on the roof of the Luftburg, dealing with our drinking water, food waste avoidance and much more, can be found in the voluntary report on sustainability.
