Paul Kolarik takes over the management of the Kolariks Freizeitbetriebe

May makes everything new

The current crisis gives us time. Time to think about tomorrow, to question today - and to break new ground: As of June 1, Paul Kolarik will take over the management of Kolariks Freizeitbetriebe, the responsibility for the very same with immediate effect. Elisabeth Kolarik will continue to be present as an advising authority - because in the Prater we think together about tomorrow! We continue to look forward to the best organic beer garden enjoyment as well as special family moments - and are excited about what the future holds.

Where pleasure runs in the family

It all began in 1977, with the invention of the Luftburg by Elisabeth Kolarik - an innovative success that subsequently caused young and old alike to jump for joy and led to the founding of the popular Kolariks Freizeitbetriebe in the Vienna Prater. The Luftburg was successively expanded and in recent years converted into a successful business with 100% organic cuisine.

Further leaps in the air are now also brought by the year 2020: With immediate effect, Paul Kolarik takes over responsibility for the popular Kolariks Freizeitbetriebe and is appointed managing partner as of 1 June. Elisabeth Kolarik will support him with her founding spirit in word and deed. Family-friendly moments with the Kolarik family will continue to be on the menu, and you can already look forward to innovative ideas.

Thinking about tomorrow together

The 36-year-old is a more than worthy successor: After graduating from the hospitality school "Am Judenplatz", he earned an academic degree in gastronomy and culinary management and an MBA in general management at the FH Wien of the WKÖ. In addition, he was able to gain useful work experience in various gastronomy and hotel businesses, most recently in project development. Incidentally, Paul Kolarik has not only had his permanent place in the Prater since he was actively involved in the business development of Kolariks Freizeitbetriebe : "I am a true Prater child! I was born in the Luftburg itself and spent my childhood here, living directly above the company - a real dream for every child," Paul Kolarik says with a smile. By the way, the Viennese refuels his energy in sports and - as a father of three - in his family.

The new managing director, who introduced himself to his mother's business partners as a junior boss when he was only five years old, sees the current situation as an opportunity to question the old and strike out in new directions.

100 years of the Kolarik family in the Prater

May gives us double reason to celebrate: In addition to the new management, we are also celebrating 100 years of the Kolarik family in the Prater! Our first family business was founded by Paul's grandfather back in 1920. He brought the entrepreneurial DNA into the family and the pleasure stone rolling, with which Kolariks Freizeitbetriebe took off.

In this sense: Cheers to 100 years of enjoyment
