Dear guests, you can look forward to the spring! Why? Because from mid-March – the start of the summer season in the Prater – you can reserve a table in the brand new conservatory around the Glaspalast. It's going to be really nice and cosy and we... we are already looking forward to serving you there!
Redesign of the conservatory around the Glaspalast
For weeks now, the Luftburg – Kolarik im Prater has been once again bustling with architects and interior designers from Derenko. They take measurements here, compare there and take photos over there.
"It is important to us to take a fresh look at the restaurant, which has grown continously since 1992, and to rethink and refurbish it. The aim is to create a feel-good experience for our guests – which should, of course, also fulfil all its tasks!"
What will change?
- The flooring is being renewed to create an inviting transition between the inside and outside.
- The interior is being changed and adapted to the design of the already refurbished Glaspalast.
- The hybrid use of the terrace (as an indoor space in winter and an outdoor space in summer) is being improved by adding new glass surfaces and extended towards Prater Hauptallee.
- A new children's play area is being created: with a jungle gym, a slide and an outdor play kitchen!
In summary: it will be more modern; there will be more space and options for events; families with children will have additional space near a children's play area to enjoy a relaxed visit to the restaurant.
