At the Luftburg - Kolarik im Prater, we are honouring the noble fruits with our own summer menu. Our head chef and our pastry chef have come up with some delicious ideas for the best apricot creations of the season – all this with you in mind.

Cheers to summer and sweet temptation

What would summer be without vibrant orange and juicy apricots? They are not only a feast for the eyes, but also a real vitamin bomb and a first-class taste experience. Allow yourself to be tempted with our fruity apricot creations: how about a sophisticated apricot version of our popular cevapcici and a fluffy apricot dumpling for dessert? And for ice cream lovers, we have come up with Marilli Vanilli, a delicious apricot-vanilla ice cream creation. No matter what you choose - everything is perfect to round off a warm summer evening in the Prater!

Our organic Wachauer Marille

This particular sort of apricot comes from the Schöne Erde estate in the Wachau valley / Lower Austria. During the apricot harvest, the 160 Wachau high-stem apricot trees are climbed up to ten times in order to pick only the best and ripe fruit. The old Wachau apricot sort require special sensitivity during harvesting and processing and is turned with knowledge, time and passion into excellent products.
