At the Luftburg - Kolarik im Prater, we are honouring the noble fruits with our own summer menu. Our head chef and our pastry chef have come up with some delicious ideas for the best apricot creations of the season – all this with you in mind.
Cheers to summer and sweet temptation
What would summer be without those bright orange, juicy apricots? They’re not only a feast for the eyes, but also a true vitamin powerhouse and a taste experience in a class of its own. Let yourself be tempted by ourfruity apricot creations: How about our sophisticated Tataki-style sirloin and, for dessert, a light and airy apricot dumpling? And for those who love something playful and sweet, we’ve created “Apricot in the Prater”—a composition of apricot mousse, candied olives, apricot juice, meringue, and cotton candy. No matter what you choose—it’s all perfect for rounding off a balmy summer evening in the Prater!
Our organic Wachauer Marille
This particular sort of apricot comes from the Schöne Erde estate in the Wachau valley / Lower Austria. During the apricot harvest, the 160 Wachau high-stem apricot trees are climbed up to ten times in order to pick only the best and ripe fruit. The old Wachau apricot sort require special sensitivity during harvesting and processing and is turned with knowledge, time and passion into excellent products.
