Yay, Thursday is free! Yes, you read that right: May 1 is a national holiday! How nice that we can enjoy it as a public holiday. And not only that, there are celebrations all over Austria - parties all over the country, so to speak. And what about us? We are right in the middle of it, instead of just being there: with the colourful May Day festival in the Viennese Prater and a discounted day ticket for all children to jump in the Luftburg.

The party starts at 11:00! In the world's largest organic restaurant, the first pork knuckles are served and - you don't treat yourself to anything else - one beer after another is drawn. And, as usual, in first-class and 100% organic quality. And while parents drink to their leisure time together, children can have fun on the bouncy castles at a reduced price. This not only applies to the Luftburg Erlebniswelt (which – by the way – has been newly equipped and enlarged) but also to the Praterfee.
May Day festival in Vienna Prater
At 13:00, the May Day program starts on the Kaiserwiese next to the Giant Ferris Wheel in the Vienna Prater – this means fun and action for the whole family! There is a great children's program for the little ones. From 14:00 onwards, many artists will be performing on the show stage on the Kaiserwiese. Free entertainment at its best! What's more: many Prater attractions are offering great discounts on 1st May – for riding, testing your strength and overcoming your fear of heights!
