Especially in the cold season, it is wonderful to be able to enjoy a bowl of a hot soup. However, for many people living in poverty this is not something that can be taken for granted. This is why Wiener Tafel organisation launched the "Suppe mit Sinn" project in 2007.

Suppe mit Sinn: sharing makes sense
The concept of the winter donation campaign is simple and effective: we turn all the soups on our menu into "Suppe mit Sinn", giving our guests the opportunity to combine culinary enjoyment with a good deed. For every soup sold, EUR 1 is donated to the Tafel Österreich – helping people living in poverty. This way, each of our guests not only enjoys a delicious, warming meal themselves but also funds soup for 10 people in need.
The company behind the "Suppe mit Sinn"
Tafel Österreich (formerly Wiener Tafel) has been helping people affected by poverty for 25 years. It distributes rescued food that is still fit for consumption to around 100 social institutions in Vienna free of charge with the aim of combating poverty. However, the number of people who are dependent on free food is constantly increasing.
